I’ve wanted to have a more choice-based art classroom for a while. I’ve done a book study of the Engaging Learners Through Artmaking to get more familiar with this different approach to art class. I reread the book right before we started this with the 5th grade students. One summer, I attended the Tab Lab 2024 conference in Plano. It seemed like a great fit for many reasons, but I was scared to start.
